The System Manager module allows users to create and maintain Sage 300 databases, define security settings for user access and establish company-wide settings for currency and fiscal periods. Functionality is divided into two broad areas; Administrative Services, which defines security settings and allows users to copy or backup datasets, and Common Services, which defines fiscal calendar options and currency settings for the company. This course is designed to provide users with a comprehensive understanding of the ADMIN user functionality within Sage 300 in order to create and maintain secure Sage 300 databases.
This course
will provide you with the skills necessary to use System Manager, which
controls access to all Sage 300 accounting modules. It is the core from which
all other modules operate and affects nearly everything you do in your Sage 300
system — from establishing security to using the Finder to search for a record
within a file. System Manager includes effective tools that ensure data
integrity, complete processing and security management, enabling users to work
more productively. System Manager also allows Sage 300 to run through a
standard Web browser — without client software —centralizing IT management and
lowering overall ownership costs.
Sage 300
System Manager also includes comprehensive Bank Reconciliation functionality,
which enables you to quickly and accurately reconcile all of your bank
accounts, as well as perform bank transactions with accuracy. Bank
Reconciliation is built into the System Manager, providing seamless
connectivity to all sub-modules to help you better track your cash position, so
you can make insightful and timely decisions for your business.
