Here we share some guides on video production which will help to get a very clear idea that what is video Production and what are the basic video production steps. Step 1: Determine the video type you will require for your course contentThe best way to do this is to determine what content you will have in that particular course. With that, you will be clear on whether you will be the subject of the video or you will share your screen exclusively. Still, you can have both forms. Choose your course topic and course outline for proper film planning and video production.Step 2: Have your production equipment ready at the very beginningList all the equipment you will need to produce your videos. Gather what you can get from home and hire or buy any other that would be missing. For suggestions of what you would require, see our equipment shopping list- the list should include cameras, microphones, screencasting, and any other editing software.Step 3: Setting up the studioSet up a production studio in your house; must be a quiet environment for quality purposes. See guidance from our tutor guidelines. To ensure that you don't gamble on the quality, it is good you start by taking this OraDMT video production course.Step 4: Send us a Test VideoThis is a 3 to 5 minutes short clip that you send to our digital quality assurance team for review. We watch it with a deeper interest in the quality of both the graphics and the sound. We will also check your lighting and mode of presentation so try to be keen on all that. In case producing such a clip would trouble you, consider taking our filming course beforehand. You can send us more than one clip as need be, for instance, if you have made some changes on your equipment for us to help you with reviewing. Anyway, we don't charge anything to do so.Email your test video to info@oradmt.com Step 5: Edit your course VideosOnce you are through with filming, the next step before uploading is editing. Edit your videos to suit your desired audio and video quality as well as timing. Maybe you'd need to learn the basics of video editing from our system. Feel free to enroll. FAQsWhat type of video recording would be suitable for my course? The content of your course is what will give you direction on what production you should do. For example, there could be instances in you would need to do voiceovers while in some instances you would just shoot your classroom live as you instruct your students. How much would I need for production equipment? The answer you should first seek is, 'what equipment do I already have?' If you are clear on what is available first, then ask yourself what it is that you need. Once you list down what is missing, then decide whether you will buy the same or you will hire it for use. Once you have worked out that, you will get the answer to the above question. Can I have one of my course videos as the Test Video? No, you can't have a course video as a test video. The reason is that, as the name suggests, the purpose of such a video is to test and see how your actual course videos will come out. As earlier explained, this is quite a short clip- no class can run for 5 minutes. It would be so disappointing to produce a whole 10 videos only for our review team to tell you that they do not meet our expectations. That is why we encourage you to do a test video before you embark on your course videos. Can you help me shoot the video at the OraDMT Studio? We help facilitators, trainers, and coaches record their classes in our studios and we also help with editing.
